Exercise Your Demons!

So.... today i realized one of my favorite little "added" workouts is to crank up the music while I'm cleaning and dance around the house! I feel like it's a great way to keep myself moving and in a good mood while I'm doing all the things no one likes to do.

vacuuming has become much more tolerable and can I just tell you.... dishes were never more fun!

I get a lot more work done around the house when I do it this way and, while there is always more to do, I feel much more accomplished when I can say it was a worth while workout.


Having said all that, working so much this spring, a workout and diet plan has been incredibly difficult.
Between 10-11 hour shifts and lack of help around the house, meal prep has become sort of a figment of my imagination. I do try my hardest to stay on track, but the unhealthy stuff is just so much easier!!
I have managed to make it to the gym at least three times so far this week and got in a total of 8 miles in on the treadmill all week... in addition to my other workouts.

Ciara went to her Hoops class on Tuesday and swimming lessons on Wednesday... I think she's starting to pick up more and more of the good habits, which I totally love.

The only thing I really have left to figure out is how to squeeze more time out of each day to get more work done around the house. Maybe if I'm lucky, someday someone will help me clean.

I know... I know.... good joke! That is probably never going to happen. But I am hoping that maybe at least for one whole week in this whole entire year, I might have a stress free house.

Or maybe I just need a vacation.
