Home Is Where The Heart Is

“After all," Anne had said to Marilla once, "I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string.”

There are some days when things just sort of fall into place and you feel like you have everything you could ever need. Yes you will always want for more, but your needs are met and you feel at peace with your life. That moment came again for me yesterday.
I have been waiting my whole life to find someone who cares as much about the things that matter to me as I do. I'm not talking about loving Nicholas Sparks books or being an avid runner. I'm talking about making sure the house is kept clean and getting the responsibilities taken care of.
I am by no means a perfect housekeeper, so having someone who will help is pretty important.

Last night, Brian took it upon himself to help me get the laundry (my arch nemesis) folded. This allowed me to be able to go to the gym for the first time in a couple weeks which actually made me feel better. I have been getting frustrated and unhappy with myself and this was just the medicine I needed. Tonight I'll be finishing off the job by putting it all away and cleaning the floors.

This post was supposed to be published back in the late spring/early summer..... my apologies!!
